The Frank Dove Foundation was onceived in response to the horrors of war, tensions, and conflict affecting Communities and Nations worldwide. Despite the efforts of various Local, International, Governmental, and Inter-Governmental Organizations, many have failed to meet their obligations of Promoting Peace, Preventing Conflicts, and Resolving Crises.

Focus and Mission

The Frank Dove Foundation emphasizes the Prevention of Conflicts and the early Resolution of Disputes, adhering to the maxim “Prevention is Better than Cure”. One Sir Brian Urquhart of the United Nations once criticized an approach, describing the reliance on Peacekeeping Forces as a "false renaissance" because it focuses more on Intervention than on Prevention.

This viewpoint highlights the important of comprehensive peace-buildinf strategies, including Diplomacy, Development, and addressing root causes rather than solely relying on Military Peacekeepers.

Importance of Prevention

Preventing and addressing the Social, Economic, and Cultural Causes of Conflicts is Crucial for International Communities and Non-Governmental Organizations. However, their efforts have often been hampered by a lack of proper and timely information and their dependence on National Governments, which may not accurately reflect the realities on the ground.

Trust in NGOs

Due to the shortcomings of some National Governments and certain Inter-Governmental Organizations, many Communities and Nations have lost confidence in them and tend to place more trust in Non-Governmental Organizations.

Our Commitment

The Frank Dove Foundation is dedicated to Promoting a Culture of Global Peace and Reconciliation, striving to address the root causes of conflicts and Foster lasting Peace through Proactive and Preventive Measures.

Mission Statement
